Even if you are not staying in Bawiti Oasis Resort, you are welcome to join us on an adventure!
All desert adventures can be combined with the Giza Plateau, Saqqara, and more attractions in Cairo or as you desire.
Should you choose to experience a desert adventure with us, you will sleep under a beautiful starry sky. If you want we can also provide a tent. Anyway, we promise that you regularly feel dwelling on another planet!
According to your wishes, we will from our hearts do our best to make your experience breathtaking, relaxed sitting in a luxury land cruiser, riding a camel, by foot, or a combination of the above transport methods.
We will take you to unprecedented silent and adventurous places in the desert. Each desert adventure will be a life-changing experiment, a unique opportunity for both adventurers and those who search for inner peace.
In the desert, all meals are prepared in the traditional Bedouin way, as fresh as possible and carefully prepared. If you see them cooking you will automatically respect them and understand how the Bedouins previously survived thousands of years in the desert. Even in extended wilderness programs they are baking fresh bread or pancakes for breakfast!
Every day in the desert you can enjoy 3 delicious meals. Breakfast consists of bread or pancakes, cheese, jam and as a bonus falafel, salad, omelette or boiled eggs. Also offering a variated lunch and dinner consists of soup, main course and fruit for dessert. And this in combination with the loving preparation of our Bedouin Team the food in the deserts is already appointed to the level of a 13 star! ... We also take enough fruit, cake, cookies, coffee / tea and spring water along throughout the day for the inner human.
We provide the necessary mattresses, cotton bedspreads, blankets and sleeping bags on request, this one has really needed, and tents.
Luggage: If one chooses a wilderness program only, the luggage will be taken to the desert. If we return to our Bawiti Oasis Resort, we store the suitcase that you do not need during your desert adventure.
The multi-day wilderness adventures are formulated so that you can bathe in a regular healing warm or cold water source.
Naturally the desert welcomes your physically to be 'relieved' belongings!
We ask you kindly to dig a hole and use a lighter to burn the toilet paper so you leave nothing incriminating behind.
We provide toilet paper and garbage bags.
For grooming, we recommend damp washcloths and refreshing towels. If there are days in the program where little water sources are available, fill as much empty water bottles during the previous visited watersource, for example, to wash the hair after a hot day.
A flashlight is always handy if you need to 'relieve' during the midnight hours.
Adaptability: You will visit Egypt, a world apart! "In Sha Allah" ... God willing, is part of the Egyptian national character. When you visit this beautiful country please try to understand.
Problems and unforeseen circumstances do not exist, the Egyptian sees this as a challenge!
One will find that one of the first lessons that we as westerners receive, is to learn to be flexible and timeless. Everything is always good and time plays no role in Egypt. This is not always an easy lesson, but this setting of the Egyptians you will certainly miss when you're home!
Hygiene: It is not always clean in Egypt, try to see it all through rose-colored glasses.
Alcohol: If you want to have a beer or wine in the desert, please let us know as early as possible so we can purchase this in Cairo can for you. In Bahariya it is much more expensive.
