We now know we can never do that all on our own, therefor this calling for help and to co-work with us!

The cause of our Development Aid Project:
Bahariya is a province in the middle of the Egyptian Deserts, formed by various small villages inhabited all together by approximate 35.000 people.
The main village Bawiti has a good conditioned hospital, only er lack of money to worthy furnish it. The exsisting equipment is in tolerable shape or seriously outdated and a lot of urgent lifesaving equipment is not available.
There are no trained doctors to give qualified help.
The help for psychiatric patients and aid for the disabled and physiotherapy are even unknown in Bawiti.
When the natives need first aid with minor illnesses they need to go to Kabbala which means a 45 minute drive to get the help of a general practitioner.
For specialist medical help they need to travel for 5 hours to reach Cairo. Often enough these 5 hours are way to long for someone to actually survive the drive and the time it takes. Besides all this only the more fortunate can get the aid they need for their illnesses.
Even worse than dying on the 5 hour drive to Cairo, is the situation of those who are caught in a car accident to be permanently paralised or mutilated for being less fortunate to pay for medical help.
Another sad fact is; because of the bad quality of the drinking water the natives large scaled suffer of kidney stones due to the mineral salts who can cause rheumatism, joint disorders and sometimes even paralysis!
Because of my yearly 8 month stay in Bawiti i am well known with the 'horror' stories from people i know personally. Out of my discplines homeopathy and orthomolecular medicine I am the 'general practitioner' as well as the apothecary in Bawiti, since 2007.
For all the reasons above, i started in 2007, with the help of our travelgroups, taking bags full of alternative medicines, ortomolecular supplements, blood pressure equipment, glucose equipments, glasses, and other small aid tools as well as children's wear to Bahariya. In the beginning we were sponsored by airline departments for humanitarian aid, we could take 5 killo's p.p for free as extra luggage.
Unfortunately this way of sponsoring stopped due to the many requests from people with other humanitarian aid goals for the people in Egypt. Now we face €10,- or more for every extra kilo luggage!
That was the main reason for me to request financial support, since 2008, up until now this resulted in a regularlar sum of €167,-.
We are grateful beyond words with this money, and we helped a lot of people already because of that on the one hand, on the other hand it is way too little to make a cardinal change in healthcare.
This is why we dream to attract people who are willing and able to sponsor our goal!
